Spathe is currently searching for a Special Operations Instructor to join our team in the Tampa, FL area.

Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. As a small business with a tight knit family feel, Spathe empowers its employees to solve problems and make decisions.

• Develop lessons, lead seminars, and instruct in JSOU courses taught in CONUS and OCONUS education events. 
• Lecture on the full range of Special Operations topics to include combating/countering terrorism in SOF operations, programs, and activities. 
• Support the academic endeavors of JSOU senior fellows and faculty. 
• Maintain a network of SMEs that support and contribute to the success of JSOU’s academic endeavors.

Education 

• MA/MS required in any field* 

  *All degrees used to qualify a candidate for a PTE position shall be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university. 

Clearance 

• SECRET clearance required 
  

Travel 

• Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous sites. The Contractor shall travel as initiated by written tasking. 

 
Minimum Requirement 

• 5 years’ experience within special operations, the SOF operator, SOF operational enabler, and/or interagency partner community desired but not required. 
• Post-secondary faculty experience with classroom/virtual/distance learning delivery desired but not required.
• Published author in an academic journal or book desired but not required.
• Ability to travel as required CONUS and OCONUS.
