Overview

Spathe Systems is seeking a Network Services Lead in support of an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government.

 

Spathe Systems is a full scope systems integrator specializing in Enterprise IT Service Management, Software and Application Development, and Cyber Security Services. Responsibilities

SPATHE is looking for a qualified individual to support an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government. The Network Services Lead must possess the aptitude, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and ability necessary to perform the following tasks:

  • Manages a multidisciplinary team of networking and cloud professionals in support of system and service engineering and Network and voice operations and management.
  • Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, and performs problem isolation and resolution.
  • Monitors, tunes, and sets standards. Maintains a complex range of computer network components and systems.
  • Plans and coordinates major information technology initiatives.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies.
  • Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity.
  • Devises solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
  • Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages.
  • Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.
  • Assists in internal training programs. Meets regularly with other network team leads to plan and coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent + 8 years of Network Engineering experience
  • CCNP (ENCOR/DCCOR) Certification required
  • ITIL v3/4 Certification required
  • DoDI 8570.01m Certification
  • Has experience with CISCO, Foundry, SONET, Juniper, Voice, and legacy equipment
  • Has full technical knowledge of all phases of network and voice operations
  • Excellent communication skills show tact, effective listening skills and follow through
  • Anticipates questions and is prepared with answers
  • May be required to provide clear written documentation on network procedures
  • Must be able to effectively interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems
  • Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve the most complex problems
  • Can offer effective solutions that are also practical within system and budget constraints
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments
  • Must closely follow network protocols and methodology
  • Reviews the work of others and can detect errors or needed modifications
  • Able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of client/server operations

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • CCIE Certification (ENCOR)

  • Primarily in facilities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) region

Schedule:

  • Contractor personnel working on-site are required to work up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, during the contract period. A typical duty day while present onsite is from 0800 to 1730 Eastern Time (ET), Monday through Friday. The scope of this contract provides 24/7/365 IT Service Management and support. As such, some positions may be required to perform shift work and may be required to provide surge capability in support of the customer’s mission.

 

Travel:

  • Travel may be required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations at the direction of the customer
