Overview

Spathe Systems is seeking a Project Management Lead in support of an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government.

 

Spathe Systems is a full scope systems integrator specializing in Enterprise IT Service Management, Software and Application Development, and Cyber Security Services. We are a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC, and strategic partner locations in the National Capitol Region. Responsibilities

SPATHE is looking for a qualified individual to support an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government. The Project Management Lead must possess the aptitude, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and ability necessary to perform the following tasks:

  • Manages a team of Project Management professionals in support of the customer project portfolio.
  • Provides project management governance oversight for all project related activities, process, and deliverables.
  • Manages program and customer project portfolio by directing the project lifecycle, assisting in development of comprehensive project plans to include both long- and short-range goals and milestones.
  • Identifies, acquires, and utilizes company resources to achieve project technical objectives. Directs a project team usually within a matrixed organization while monitoring and encouraging functional organizations to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules.
  • May interface with external customers as well as top management for the purpose of communicating status of project throughout lifecycle.
  • Trains and directs employee work activities.
  • Signs timecards, prepares performance reviews, handles discipline problems, and has input to hiring and firing as directed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent + 10-12 years of experience in Project/Program Management
  • DoDI 8570.01m Certification
  • Significant knowledge of complex project management tasks and ability to develop standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting; assist managing project staff
  • Able to assist Program Manager with effectively monitoring budgets and controlling funding expenditures
  • Strong business communication skills to effectively articulate policy, interface with other departments at all levels and manage staff
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand work problems and procedures
  • Reviews the work of others and can detect errors or needed modifications
  • Ensures work products are accurate and complete
  • May be responsible for assisting monitoring project budget
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to subordinate staff

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • CAPM Certification
  • ITIL v4 Certification

Work Location:

  • Primarily in facilities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) region 

 

Travel:

  • Travel may be required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations at the direction of the customer

Schedule:

  • Contractor personnel working on-site are required to work up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, during the contract period. A typical duty day while present onsite is from 0800 to 1730 Eastern Time (ET), Monday through Friday. The scope of this contract provides 24/7/365 IT Service Management and support. As such, some positions may be required to perform shift work and may be required to provide surge capability in support of the customer’s mission.
