Overview

Spathe Systems is seeking a Systems and Infrastructure Lead in support of an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government.

 

Spathe Systems is a full scope systems integrator specializing in Enterprise IT Service Management, Software and Application Development, and Cyber Security Services. We are a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC, and strategic partner locations in the National Capitol Region. Responsibilities

SPATHE is looking for a qualified individual to support an Enterprise IT Service Management opportunity in the National Capitol Region supporting the United States Government. The Systems and Infrastructure Lead must possess the aptitude, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and ability necessary to perform the following tasks:

  • Manages the design of server, application architectures, cloud infrastructure services, and the administrative operation and maintenance of production server hardware, cloud infrastructure, mission Applications, and associated IT Service Management software and Services.
  • Maintains system security and establishes practices and procedures, monitors usage statistics and logs, monitors and remedies attempt to penetrate or corrupt server files.
  • Overseas the development of baseline configurations and directs modification of configuration settings.
  • Directs and overseas troubleshooting and incident response procedures and leads Problem Management response across the Enterprise.
  • Establishes and enforces operational KPIs ensuring efficient and effective security and delivery of services.
  • Provides team leadership, guidance, and mentorship to subordinate managers and department personnel.
  • Provides direction to the Web Authors and Web Developers for the development of databases, interactive applets, and custom graphics.
  • Responsible for the training, motivation, discipline, and performance evaluation of assigned employees.
  • Remains current in operating systems/software/infrastructure/security analysis and technological developments and applications.
  • Recommends future direction or projects to management.
  • Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance a delivered service.
  • Partners with other IT Operations department leads to deliver business and mission outcomes required of our customers.
  • Maintains customer focused mindset.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ of managing systems administration, operation, and improvement in a medium to large scale enterprise
  • Senior Microsoft or AWS certification required based on role and function
  • Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain SCI
  • DoDI 8570.01m IAT Level 2 Certification
  • Has experience with Storage, Virtualization, Windows, Unix, Altiris, and McAfee
  • Has full technical knowledge of all phases of systems engineering
  • Excellent communication skills show tact, effective listening skills and follow through
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience
  • Can create effective and clear user manuals; must be able to write and evaluate complex programs that contribute to effective hardware and software operating systems
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
  • Able to review the work of others and detect errors or needed modifications
  • Able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems engineering

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or STEM related specialty
  • MS Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • ITIL v3/4 Certification preferred

 

Job Type:

  • Full-time

 

Work Location:

  • Primarily in facilities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) region

 

Travel:

  • Travel may be required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations at the direction of the customer

 

Schedule:

  • Contractor personnel working on-site are required to work up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, during the contract period. A typical duty day while present onsite is from 0800 to 1730 Eastern Time (ET), Monday through Friday. The scope of this contract provides 24/7/365 IT Service Management and support. As such, some positions may be required to perform shift work and may be required to provide surge capability in support of the customer’s mission.
