Overview

Spathe is currently searching for a Senior Subject Matter Expert - Course Director/Instructor to join our team in the Tampa, FL area.

 

Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, implements, delivers, schedules, administers and evaluates academic programs for U.S. Special Operations Command, SOF AT&L - Introduction to SOF Acquisition Course (ISOAC).
  • Synchronizes JSOU Staff’s vision and technical capabilities with SOF AT&L requirements to ensure the most current tools are used, and most effective educational experience is delivered, measured and assessed for improvement.
  • Develops, reviews and updates the course plan, syllabus, lessons and teaching and assessment plans to deliver a well-rounded graduate prepared to assume duties as a SOF Acquisition Professional.
  • Supports all phases of course development including, final edit and validation of all course material and online or blended learning products. Acquisition Executive will have final approval for all course material.
  • Collaborates with Industry Partners and interagency communities through invitations to participate in concert with Government Lead Instructor.
  • Maintains a network of Educational Design, DoD Requirements Processes, and Acquisition SME’s that are capable to support and contribute to the success of the course using recent and relevant experience(s).
  • Conducts periodic curriculum reviews, ensuring lesson plans meet instructional system design standards and content requirements.
  • Supports strategic planning for the development and delivery of curriculum intended to complement and enhance DoD Acquisition Policy and Processes.
  • Facilitates student preparation for the course, accomplishment of the course prerequisites, and accomplishment of all course execution and graduation requirements.
  • Maintains, stores, distributes, and provides precise quality assurance of every educational product required for ISOAC course implementation.
  • Gather Course Critiques and analytics for each class and provide summarization, critical analysis, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • SECRET clearance.
  • Two years of SOF experience at the operational level.
  • Three years’ experience in a DoD Acquisition (DAWIA L2) coded billet.
  • Minimum of one year of platform/instructor experience.

 

Education:

  • MA/MS required in in engineering, information science, education, or business. *All degrees used to qualify a candidate shall be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university.

Clearance:

  • Secret

  • One location – MacDill, AFB

 

Travel:

  • Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous sites. The Contractor shall travel as initiated by written tasking.
