Spathe is currently searching for a Systems Security Administrator to join our team.

Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Systems Security Administrators must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, as well as a familiarity with systems hardware and software. They require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Typical duties include:

• Management of a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight)


• Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents


• Participating in security systems testing


• Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data


• Preventing and detecting intrusion


• System administration and hardening of Linux Systems.


• Reading and writing shell, Perl, Python Scripts


• Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk


• Yara, Open IOC, or other host based signatures


• Management of an email Security Appliance

Clearance Required:

• TS/SCI

Certification Requirements: 

• IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8140, RHCSA or RHCSE

Experience Requirements: 

• Eight years of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate’s field of study and specialization.
